Outsourced Parenting

I recently had a conversation that really got me thinking about how much parenting is being outsourced.  It's so sad.

Schools are teaching most people's children about sex, and the parents are grateful.  They'll even show the boys how to put a condom on a cucumber if you want them to!  Don't believe me?  Here's the video for the sex education of Montgomery County Public Schools.  This was obtained only via the public information act.  Most of the parents hadn't seen it.  Sad!

Schools teach all educational requirements.  After all, they MUST pass the test.  And parents are grateful.

Schools are now responsible for making sure other people's children don't get fat.  Don't believe me again?  Check here:

And, of course, the parents are grateful.  At no point does it cross one's minds that if your own child is overweight, that perhaps you, the parent, should pack them a lunch that you, the parent, have assured is low in fat and high in nutrition?  Based on current obesity stats, I think we can safely assume not.  Again, it's sad.

Parents even trust someone else to tell them what their children can safely watch.  It's PG/G then many parents will simply trust "them" to tell them so.  What happened to making sure that your child is watching something that YOU think is appropriate?  That works with YOUR values?   Have you watched a PG-13 movie, lately?  If you have MY values, you'll think twice before letting ANYONE watch them, much less a 13 year old child.

Schools now provide abortions for free, as long as the parents are not told.  Again, don't believe me?  Check here (and YES, it's common in many publicly funded schools):

Buildings of institutionalized learning are filled with state certified strangers telling other people's children how to live, what to believe, and what is acceptable and parents are grateful.  I will simply NEVER understand this concept.  If you think that you retain your parental rights when you turn your child over to the State, think again and get yourselves informed!!!!

And the "czar" that Obama appointed has state his intentions CLEARLY:

Currently, the czar is implementing gay curriculum under the guise of  "safety" in schools.  He says that by forcing   encouraging very young students to "accept" the gay lifestyle that they will no longer bully homosexuals.  Right, because we all know that ONLY gay people are picked on in school.  Please!  This is nothing more than an attempt by a gay man to force his views on innocent kids who shouldn't even be thinking about sexuality!  But, hey...I'll just bet that many parents are grateful they didn't have to deal with it.

Outsourcing our parenting is KILLING us, people.  Values, morals, family ties and bonds are disappearing faster than a snowball in Jamaica and no one really seems to care.  In fact, they mostly seem...well, grateful.

Here is my directive for raising my children and not a single one mentions gratefully turning the task over to another:

Deuteronomy 6:6-9  "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."

Proverbs 22:6  "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."

Proverbs 29:15  "The rod of correction imparts wisdom, but a child left to himself disgraces his mother."

Ephesians 6:4  "Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

So that they can hear this:

Mathew 25:23  "His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

May outsourced parenting go the way of the dinosaur.  It is killing our children, our country and our families.
